From Silence to Interviews — And a Mission to Help Others

A few years ago, I found myself in a frustrating position that many job seekers know all too well. I had solid experience as a software developer, a good work ethic, and a willingness to grow — but my resume was getting me nowhere. I was applying to roles I knew I could do well in, but hearing nothing back. Not even a rejection. Just silence.

It didn’t take long for me to realize that it wasn’t me that was the problem — it was my resume.

I began to research what actually makes a resume effective today. I learned about Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) — the automated filters used by most companies to scan and rank resumes before a human ever sees them. I realized that my old resume, while honest and thorough, was simply not formatted or written to make it through those systems. Worse, it wasn’t tailored to the specific roles I was applying for.

At the same time, I saw how much AI tools were improving — especially for writing and content optimization. That’s when everything clicked: what if I could build a tool that helped me (and others) generate job-specific resumes, written clearly and strategically, using the power of AI?

I started building what would eventually become JobProfile.io — an AI-powered resume builder that goes beyond just templates. It helps users write better bullet points, tailor their experience to match specific job descriptions, and format everything in a way that gets through ATS filters.

I used it myself to rebuild my resume, not just once — but multiple times, creating customized versions for each job I applied to. Within weeks, I started landing interviews. Real interviews. With Amazon, Microsoft, and ActiveCampaign.

That changed everything for me. And I knew then that this tool wasn’t just a side project — it was something that could help thousands of other professionals who were stuck where I had been.
